Highland Dallas hotel near SMU plans $5 million renovation for summer 2015

In time for its first anniversary as part of the Hilton Hotels group, the former Palomar will undergo about $5 million in renovations next summer. In August, Hilton Hotels & Resorts announced that the highly visible hotel on Central Expressway would be the first in its new brand called Curio – A Collection by Hilton. It was renamed The Highland Dallas. David Lemmond, the new general manager, said the guest rooms, common areas on the second floor and perhaps parts of the first floor will be renovated.
