Plan would give Mockingbird a lower level near Love Field

Mockingbird Lane could have a lower level under a proposal to ease traffic around an increasingly busy Dallas Love Field. The modernized Love Field and modified Wright amendment are about to land major changes up and down Mockingbird, and officials are concerned that traffic is about to become untenable around the city-owned airport, which has only one entrance, off Cedar Springs Road and Mockingbird. For that reason, they’re seriously looking at taking two Mockingbird lanes below grade in front of the airport.
